We generally don’t do senior shoots but this week we are featuring two seniors we made exceptions for – our siblings! Sarah and I both have siblings graduating from high school this year (they are actually only about a month apart in age) and we are very excited to show them both off.
My brother Caleb is pretty awesome. I’m biased for sure but I don’t care. He was born on my eleventh birthday and from the moment we first met I was convinced he was just about the best brother someone could have asked for. (Though I was gifted a 2nd brother a few years later who is pretty fabulous too.) There are a million things I could say about Caleb, most of which would probably embarass him, but I love being his sister. He is stylish, thoughtful, athletic, thinks he is a charmer, and is sarcastic (really sarcastic). I had the best time taking these photos of him near our home and in his hometown, and did I mention he has a great smile?

I am proud of my brother for many, many things but one of the things I am most proud of is work in becoming the best athlete he can be. I have seen him push himself for many years in multiple sports. Although he has played several sports his main game is basketball. This year he was named an EMO All Conference player and played in the EMO Senior Showcase during which he won the 3-point shooting contest (making 8 of 10 shots). He was also named as an All-District player this year. (I told you he was good.)

Caleb (this is where I’m going to be really sappy and I don’t care) I am so proud to call you my brother. You have so many great qualities, I can’t wait to see what choices you make in the many adventures that lie ahead of you. It is cliche to say that you have bright things in your future, but I can’t believe that someone with as many gifts as you have wouldn’t have wonderful things ahead of you. Always remember where you came from and the people that love you, but don’t be afraid to try new things, branch out on your own, and explore life for yourself. I know you’re going to do great!
