When we were asked to design this graduation party we immediatly knew we wanted the party to have an elegant but easy going feeling to match our clients home. We decided pretty quickly that we were going to have the event in the front yard of their home (you’ll see why in the pictures below!) and to set up the tables on the front lawn. This event was meant to be lovely & low-key – I think we hit the nail on the head! And here is the eye candy:

Isn’t this porch gorgeous?

Wildflowers and mason jars – YUM! Some of the jars got tied with gingham ribbon while others were accented with a gingham flag.

What a seriously perfect setting for a party! We used a variety of table types for this event to make it feel more like a grown up picnic rather than renting standard tables & chairs which would lend to a more banquet feel.

Guests drank out of mason jars accented with a blue straw and picked up their silverware roll, which included a linen napkin & fork tied with gingham ribbon, on the buffet table.

And we’ll end this post with a picture of the view from the front porch. This view is the main reason extra decorations weren’t needed – nature really is the best decoration of all.

Happy Graduation Carole!
