I was going through some old papers this morning and found a very funny article from Sarah & I’s past. It is from when we recevied I.S.S. (In School Suspension) in high school. We were in the 9th grade and according to the official write up we served our sentance on February 10, 1998 for 2 class periods.
I am going to type up the official wording, but I do want to say in our defense that we really weren’t doing anything wrong (and YES I still maintain our innocence in this matter) and the guy that wrote us up was clearly on a power trip. So without further delay, here it is….
Date of Offense: 2-6-98
Time of Offense: 11:20 am
Location of Offense: Hallways
Description of Offense: Signed out of cafeteria to go to Library (can’t go to Library unless I sign their agenda. There is no Library pass.) Took food out of cafeteria, never went to Library according to Mrs. Farley — I went down the hall & she saw me and ducked into the girls restroom.
I suspect this has happened before — not sure.

Yes, we did often go to the Library over lunch. I don’t actually remember if we did go that day or not, but I do KNOW that we weren’t doing anything wrong or even that fun. But whatever, I’m over it…

Did all your offenses involve food, my dear?
