Read moreAfter the ceremony this bride & groom were ready to have fun. The day had been hectic and no two people deserved to sit back and relax more than these two. We took some bridal portraits at Unity Village and then headed back to the Sheraton for the reception. Everything looked gorgeous (thanks Shana!), but nothing or no one looked better than Jarret & Keva celebrating together on their wedding day.
Many best wishes Jarret & Keva, may you never stop celebrating life together!
Love, Ginger & Sarah

Read moreYou met Keva & Jarret during their engagement session earlier in the year. We were excited to meet up with the groom and his men in the lobby of the Sheraton Crown Center. Jarret loooves to be in front of the camera, which really translated to the guys having a great time.
From there we headed upstairs to a very busy bridal suite. Make-up, shoes, cupcakes, laughter, painting nails…all the details to get a bride ready.
Before heading over to Unity Village, we wanted to check out the reception to see how it was coming along. Between all NINE, yes nine cakes from Sugar Mammas (Keva is known for her love of cake), and the great work by Shana Vaughn Designs & her team, the room was coming right along!
Final details to get her ready to walk down the isle…
There were lots of fun little details about this day. The bell ringers with their sign. Groomsmen socks. Stopping half way down the aisle to walk with her grandfather. Songs preformed. Words, rings, & love exchanged and vowed.
The day threatened rain all day – but it held off until the minister announced them ‘husband & wife’. A guest handed them an umbrella as they walked down the aisle. Congratulations Keva & Jarret!!
Check back Thursday to see Part 2 of their wedding!

Mike & Melissa are so fun and easy to be around. Their love for one another is comfortable and comes naturally. You can tell they are the best of friends, and that makes spending time with them that much more fun! We started the day in their fancy clothes, it was super cold, but Melissa rocked her new dress! Plus, she was super kind and let me wear her coat while we shot (yea I thought about bringing gloves but totally spaced on a coat, oy!) After the “fancy” part, we busted out jeans and sweaters and headed westward to embrace the beauty of October skies. Enjoy some of our favorites images…
Congratulations on your engagement, enjoy this sweet time in life together. We can’t wait to see you next fall for your wedding!

These two college sweethearts are just that, sweet. They were quiet as the morning started, in the freezing cold, but it didn’t take long for their natural comfort with one another to come through. The session, like their love, was so easy & fun to document. They are new to the KC area, and enjoying making it their own…of course we had to share with them some of our favorite KC things! Will wanted to be sure we captured their love in some of KC’s iconic places. We also enjoyed their team loyalty with their MU apparel. Enjoy some of our favorites from the day….
Congratulations on your engagement! We can’t wait for your wedding next fall. -Ginger & Sarah
