With Sarah’s big announcement came another big change – our office. When Sarah bought her house we set up our office in what we knew would eventually become a baby’s room. So when word came that baby was on the way we quickly came up with another solution, moving the office to my house. Luckily we just live 8 houses apart so it’s not that much hassle to haul our stuff from one place to the next. As you know we have no need for a studio since all of our work is done on location but we L-O-V-E having a space to display our canvas wraps, albums, stationary, and to meet with our clients. Our new office features windows on 3 sides, 2 skylights, and it’s own entrance. In preparation for the move this room got a new coat of paint and a kicky new light fixture (big thanks to my step-dad, Mike, for all his help!).

We are absolutely in love with how our new space has turned out. (I’m actually writing this post in our new office right now.) All of our existing clients will be visiting us here over the coming months but if you want to stop by and say hello over a cup of coffee let us know! We’d love the company!

Read moreWe love when our clients order products to preserve and show off their images. We’ve posted before about our custom albums, canvas wraps, and Christmas cards. We’ve been getting so many packages delivered that we thought we’d show off some of the goodies! In addition to the prints, albums, and canvas’s we offer, we have also started offering custom stationary! Check out Morgan & Will’s Save-the-Date cards, guest book sign-in album, and more details pictures of our canvas wraps!

The picture below was the inspiration for this entire post. We were getting so many canvas’s in that my living room was starting to look more like our office than my house! All of these have since been picked up by their owners but they sure did bring a smile to our face seeing them all propped up together!

Read moreWe gave you a taste of things to come a while ago, but the long awaited day is here! We’re still tweaking things and probably will for a long time, but for now we’re excited to share all the changes that have occurred in our little space. First, can we just say how much we love having an office to meet with our couples!! It totally rocks.
On to details: We painted the room when I (Sarah) first moved into this house, so that was the only piece we didn’t have to mess with. We did however jump off the deep end and paint the bathroom. The floor (not shown) is a vintage tile with multi-colors and we picked out a peacock blue and went for it. It went from yellow to deep blue, not shown is that we painted the ceiling and trim white so it’s crisp looking. We were also excited to be able to display so many of our new canvas wraps in this space…so we didn’t let the bathroom go unattended!
Moving on into the main office. That little couch (a vintage piece I’ve loved for a long time), is a slipcover…THAT WE MADE!! That’s right, we’re crafty sometimes. Don’t you love the print?! It’s made from a tablecloth. It wasn’t the intention, but after we used it as a sample to see how we’d feel about a bold print, we couldn’t find anything we liked as much as it…so we went for it (thanks to Ginger for giving up her tablecloth for the project!) Again, prints and canvas wraps are so fun to decorate with…hard part is picking out which are our favorites! We really love being able to show all the options our brides have available when considering how to display their wedding images.
We also got a great deal on the table and chairs. We then sewed slip covers for them…yup, so crafty! The pillows are compliments of my mom’s sewing skills. The light we got a great deal from one of our favorite places, The Restore. A coat of paint and she was shiny and new, the perfect addition to the room. The “side table” is an antique butter churn (below – top right image) from my husbands side of the family. Perfect spot for flowers…er, greenery from the yard! We also now have a larger monitor to display wedding collections and sample albums to couples. Again, we just love the opportunity to invite couples into our space. Finally, the closet the left hand side of the picture below, is the piece not all the way done. It has a little table we created from a project a while ago. But overall it’s mostly just storage and supplies in there. End of the day, we couldn’t be happier with our little space and how far it’s come!
If you noted our canvas wraps are on ‘vacation‘ this month…but we still heart the little office.
