We’re back today with the second half of our styled shoot at The Journey Home. (To catch up click here to see Part 1.) Now on to the pictures!
Shannon Renee’s Formal Wear provided the bridal gown and tuxes for this shoot. Love those tan tuxes!
We adored the little cake that Megan from Megan’s Sweet Treats and Cakes made for the shoot. The cake area was set up inside of The Journey Home’s tabacoo barn. (We will be displaying a booth at their wedding show on May 19th – you can find us in the barn!)
Last, but certinaly not least, we took these pictures of our models inside of the barn. These 4 totally rocked this shoot. Thanks so much for coming to play with us!
HUGE thanks to all of the vendors and models who made this shoot possible!

Read moreWe’ve made mention over the past few weeks about a collaboration we’ve been working on with The Journey Home wedding venue and some other very fun vendors. Today we are finally showing off the goods! A week after I returned from Ireland and just a few weeks before Natalie’s arrival we packed up our vehicles and made the drive to Dearborne, MO where The Journey Home is located. (You can see a very brief intro of them here.)
For weeks we had been planning this styled shoot and arranging models, dresses, flowers, stationary, cake, make-up, and hair. We had so many talented vendors participate in the shoot with us, hair was provided by Edmond Street Parlor & Brittany Smith, make up by Motives Cosmetics, bridal gown and tuxes by Shannon Renee’s Formal Wear flowers by 2 Gals with Flowers, cake by Megan’s Sweet Treats & Cakes, and stationary by Life Well Lived. We would be completely remiss if we didn’t mention that Laura from The Journey Home was a wonderful host as we took over the venue for the day. And of course, we did the photography. :)
In addition to being able to work with so many talented vendors we were lucky to have 4 gorgeous models. Amanda & Matt modeled as our bride & groom while Kate & Chris filled in as our maid of honor and best man. Brittany Smith, Edmond Street Parlor & Motives Cosmetics did such a great job on our models and were so much fun to work with.
We decided to go with an elegant pink and gold scheme. To set our table we used textured gold chargers with clear plates, antique silverware, and vintage stemware. Each place setting was given a Thank You card designed and printed by Life Well Lived. (They run an Etsy shop and specialize in one of a kind stationary sets.) We were in L-O-V-E with the flowers that 2 Gals with Flowers did. They were the perfect complement to the set up, including that they used a vintage jewelry box for the vase of the centerpiece and incorporated feather flowers into all of the arrangements.
The Journey Home was the perfect backdrop for our little party. Luckily we were blessed with warm weather – even though just a week before we had snow!
We’ll be showing the second half of this shoot on Thursday. Make sure to stop back by to see more details and eye candy!

Read moreA few weeks ago, we put together a styled table. Depending on how well you know us, you may or may not know, I’m pretty easily convinced to tear apart the house for a fun project and that Ginger is a lover of all things fancy. Her dining room table is always set and is an exciting place of design & creativity! We were getting stir crazy during the snow (& still are, oy!) so we decided to put together a spring table. Yes, these are the kinds of things we think are fun! We plan to feature more styled & creative inspiration around here. Hopefully they can serve as some inspiration as you’re planning your wedding, hosting a shower or just putting together a table top for your own enjoyment!
