Event design week: Coffee House Bridal Shower

Welcome to Event Design week!

Today we’re featuring a bridal shower with a coffee house theme!  What was so great about this theme was that it allowed for so many ways to interpret it.  We ended up focusing on being intentionally eclectic with the decor (by using varied furniture pieces and creating different seating spaces) and we wanted LOTS of baked goods!  We used an aqua & brown color scheme to tie everything together and also brought in as many hand made, locally made, and eco-friendly elements as possible.

Guests were welcomed with this custom painted sign, a nod to the bride’s favorite TV show (and the theme inspiration):

Fair trade coffee beans were given to guests as favors.

This shower ended up being SO charming!  Many people think that our event designs end up being costly, believe it or not this was held in someone’s home, not in an actual coffee house, and was put together using mostly elements that the hosts already had.
